A hilarious new screwball comedy about love, lies and lunacy during the Golden Age of Hollywood. . .
Written and Directed by Christopher Willard
Hollywood, 1934. Monument Pictures is struggling. After putting out one turkey after another, the studio is in debt to its actors, staff, and almost everyone else in Hollywood.
Juno Beriman, the studio chief, is being hounded by creditors - one of which happens to be Jack Dragna, head of the Los Angeles crime syndicate. The studio star, Eve Randolph, who has made a rather questionable and shaky career playing vamp characters, is being pressured by the Hays Code Committee to clean-up her act "or else."
Desperate to survive, Eve and Juno hatch a scheme to save themselves, the studio, and their new film, The Clara Barton Story. Eve will throw off her loose ways, get married in a ceremony to coincide with the film's premiere, and the studio will cash in on the publicity both may engender. Trouble is, the wedding's a sham, and the actor hired to play the groom has gone missing. Every other conceivable disaster piles up to prevent the film people from saving the day.
But this is Hollywood, where there's always a new trick up the other sleeve.
