"Wonderful memories"
We took this trip with children, no grandchildren, because our son that is in the marines is being deployed to afghanistan in 2 weeks.He was home for his pre-deployment leave and we wanted to get away from the Texas heat, go to the mountains, and have some quiet, quality time with him before he leaves. The home was absolutely beautiful, spacious enough for everyone to have their privacy, decorated so tastefully, and the views were incredible. We hope to all go back when he comes home from afghanistan and stay in the same home.

The heating could have been a little more stable, however, the place was as advirtised and met my expectations.
Affectionately known as "Bear Lodge", this idyllic rocky mountain retreat is nestled on 11 acres only five minutes from downtown Breckenridge and year around activities. With plenty of snow and sun, this grand 6,000 square foot log cabin is the definition of "rustic luxury". Bear Lodge is furnished with Black Forest, Adirondack and mountain country antiques with all modern amenities.
Amidst the glorious rocky mountain views, this unique retreat boosts five full bedrooms plus a cozy bunk room, three fireplaces and a stocked game room. The lodge is situated on three levels which offer many opportunities for privacy or gatherings in the great room surrounded by spectacular views of the Continental Divide in this special retreat.
For summer, the rock patio and fire pit provides the perfect setting for outside mealtimes and taking in the surroundings. Young children will be especially delighted with the playground just off the deck area. During ski season this is the perfect vacation getaway. Just minutes from the slopes, it is an easy drive through the snow covered conifers to downtown and the new gondola. Complete with three fireplaces, spacious dining, game room and hot tub, Bear Lodge will not disappoint anyone seeking a true luxurious mountain experience.

2) Upper level 2nd - Two queen beds and private bath
3) Main Level Bedroom - Two queen beds
4) Lower level Master - king bed with private bath
5) Lower level second Master- King bed with private bath
6) Bunk room- 2 bunk beds (single over single)
